THE GRAND SALON
As soon as you step into the grand salon of this stunning turnkey Manoir in the Dordogne, you will feel like you have been transported to the halcyon days of spendour and elegance, as this is where the nobleman who built this spectacular building in 1789, the year of the French Revolution, would have spent his evenings being looked after by his staff. Whilst this airy room is entered through the hallway on the ground floor, it is exited at a higher level with the Manoir's cave, or cellar, running throughout underneath. There are stone steps from the door that lead down to a lower ground level. This gives the room additional height and this means that you look out over the gardens and pool below and this is an imposing viewpoint. As you admire the original oak flooring and two large fireplaces, one with a log burner, the other open, you will feel right at home with the room's warm ambiance. The salon's high ceilings are adorned with two sparkling white crystal chandeliers that illuminate the space, making it the perfect spot to create lifelong memories with family, friends and loved ones.
